Winning Tradition Guide
Choosing your offensive & defensive philosophies is crucial to how you should build & structure your team. Each philosophy has different scheme fits. Players that fit your scheme will develop faster and players that are negative scheme fits will progress much slower.
Scheme fits are determined based off of your chosen offensive and defensive philosophy. Each player has a unique play style that may or may not fit your philosophy. There are Positive Scheme Fits and Negative Scheme Fits. A positive scheme fit will progress at 1.5x the rate of a normal player, A negative scheme fit will progress at 0.5x (half the speed) of a normal player.
Ground & Pound offensive philosophy and a RB with power back as the play style. This running back would progress at 1.5x the speed.
Option offensive philosophy and a pocket passer QB. This player in this philosophy would progress at 0.5x the speed of a normal player.
Player badges are unique attributes that certain players may have. Badges range from 1-5, 1 being the lowest version and 5 being the most extreme version of the badge. Badges are important to watch out for when signing or recruiting a player. Here are the badges below:
Increases chance of a player being injured
Increases the chance of diva events, player having poor morale swings & player being suspended
Increases the progression rate of players of the same position. Ex. A mentor QB will increase the progression rate of the other QB's on your roster
Increases the progression rate of a player
Player performs better in the 4th quarter
Player performs worse in the 4th quarter
Each player has a potential rating, the potential rating is essentially there ceiling. If a player has an A+ potential they may be able to reach a perfect 99 overall BUT it does not mean they will get anywhere near that, Each player has a hidden development rate ranging from very slow to very fast. A player may have an A+ potential but a very slow development rate & may never come close to reaching there potential or a player may have a C+ potential and a very fast development rate and may reach there potential very early in there career.
Player morale can affect player ratings & player interest in resigning. If a player has high morale he may experience a ratings boost, if a player has low morale they may experience a ratings drop & may be more likely to request a trade or sit out to transfer (college mode).
Choosing your coordinator is very important to how your team performs. Coordinators each have there own strengths and weaknesses that directly impact your players ratings. Coordinators have there own arch type and level, a higher level coach of an arche type will experience higher rating boosts then a coach with a lower level.
Influence is earned each week, you will earn more influence for a win then you will for a loss. Influence can be used for a variety of actions in the game such as training a player, purchasing a game prep action to prep your team for the week ahead, negotiating with a player in free agency, signing coordinators & much more. Be sure to use your Influence points wisely!
