The next Winning Tradition game is two games. College and pro football each get their own app:
- College Football Coach 27: recruiting, NIL offers, the transfer portal, Signing Day, bowl games and a 12-team playoff.
- Pro Football Coach 27: the draft, free agency, the salary cap and trades.
If you play Football Coach '25 or Football Coach: Tradition today, you don't need to download anything new. Your app updates into one of these games. Here is what changes and what comes with you.
Why two games?
College mode lived inside the pro app, so most people looking for a college football game never found it. As its own game, College Football Coach 27 gets its own store page and is built around recruiting from day one. Pro Football Coach 27 goes all in on running a franchise.
Both games run on the same engine. The sim, play calling, coaching staff and Creation Suite are the same in each.
What happened to Football Coach '25?
Football Coach '25 is becoming Pro Football Coach 27. It is the same App Store and Google Play listing, so the new game arrives as an update.
What happened to Football Coach: Tradition?
Football Coach: Tradition is becoming College Football Coach 27. It is also the same listing, so it arrives as an update too.
Do my purchases carry over?
Yes. Purchases are tied to your account. Sign in with the same account and what you bought unlocks. If anything is missing, open the Store and tap Restore Purchases.
What about my saves?
Existing careers, rosters and draft classes are upgraded the first time you load them in the new game. If you have a college career in Football Coach '25, use Move Save to send it to College Football Coach 27 and keep playing it there.
The two games also work together: export a draft class from College Football Coach 27 and import it into Pro Football Coach 27.
What's new
Both games were rebuilt from the ground up:
- Watch every snap on the field and call the plays: on key downs, on offense, on both sides of the ball, or let your coordinators call them
- Live auctions against CPU teams: the transfer portal in College, free agency in Pro
- NIL offers and Signing Day in College; the combine, scouting missions and a live 7-round draft in Pro
- Scouting with potential and gem or bust odds, plus written scouting reports
- Coordinators with their own traits, and coach perks as you level up
- Phone calls with your players to keep the locker room together
- Training sessions and camps
- New player faces that age over a career
- A Hall of Fame, league records, the Senior Bowl and the Pro Bowl
- Cloud saves and global coaching rankings
When do they come out?
Both games are in final testing now. They come to iOS and Android first. PC versions for Steam are in the works.
